Most Vermonters see the state's image as closely linked to agriculture and feel its important to support the farming community. But over the years, technology and market trends have changed the size and nature of Vermont's farms.

While the number of dairy farms declines, smaller non-dairy operations are on the increase.

As part of our Vermont in Transition Series, VPR's Jane Lindholm talks with Jackie Folsom of the Vermont Farm Bureau and Enid Wonnacott of the Northeast Organic Farming Association about what these trends mean for the future of agriculture in Vermont.
