Dartmouth College expects to announce some cost-cutting moves as it works to adapt to the economic meltdown.
Trustees reviewed the school's financial situation with administrators and discussed preliminary plans to keep Dartmouth financially strong.
Dartmouth President James Wright said the administration is working toward an announcement within the next week of initial decisions and the approach the school will take to reduce expenses.
Meanwhile, Vice President for Development Carolyn Pelzel reported the fund-raising Campaign for the Dartmouth Experience remains on-track to achieve its $1.3 billion goal by the end of 2009, with just over $1 billion raised as of the end of October.
