NH lawmakers in session Sept. 24
Friday, 08/29/08
- Concord, NH
Options
One bill would establish a study commission to look at taxing alternative fuel and electric powered vehicles. The money would be used to improve highways and bridges.
Gov. John Lynch said the bill sent the wrong message when the state should be encouraging alternative energy.
The second bill would allow the successful bidder at a foreclosure auction to begin eviction proceedings. Lynch said that wasn't fair to renters because the bidder wasn't yet the owner of the building and the sale might fall through.
Lawmakers take up the vetoes Sept. 24.
