We continue our Green Series with
a visit to a rain garden. The purpose of a rain garden is to divert and
thereby reduce storm water runoff.
That's one of the big culprits of non-point source pollution, especially
in Lake Champlain.
VPR's Jane Lindholm wanted to see how it worked so she headed over to the Williston town library. There she met Jessica Andreoletti, who works for the Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District. She spoke with Jane about the difference between a regular garden and a rain garden.
