With their big tractors and
heavy equipment, Vermont's farms are big consumers of fuel and energy. This week we're kicking off an occasional new
series of interviews looking at what individuals and organizations in our state
are doing to respond to climate change.
Today we visit Richard Wiswall, who owns and operates Cate Farm in Waitsfield with his wife. Wiswall has been working to cut down on his use of fossil fuels by converting much of his operations to biodiesel or electric. VPR's Jane Lindholm visited Cate Farm to get a first hand look at the operation.
