How we deliver health care and how we insure Vermonters is a philosophical and a financial question. Deb Richter is a family physician with a practice in Cambridge. She thinks all Vermonters deserve to have access to health care and that the current system of employer based coverage needs to be replaced. Tom Koch is a member of the Vermont House from Barre Town. He thinks the free market system could provide more access if consumers had more choices and some government regulations were eliminated.
They join Bob Kinzel to examine the pros and cons of consumer-driven insurance plans, single-payer systems and the role of community rating in pricing health insurance in Vermont.
