The National Rifle Association's annual meeting begins in Kentucky tomorrow, and many high-ranking NRA officials hope Richard Feldman stays away.
But why is a former NRA lobbyist and ardent gun rights advocate now a pariah within the very organization he still staunchly defends? The answer is found in the new book "Ricochet: Confessions of a Gun Lobbyist."
Richard Feldman is a former police officer, regional political director for the NRA, and attorney who received his degree from Vermont Law School in South Royalton.
Feldman makes his home now in New Hampshire, and adamantly believes in the right of American citizens to bear arms. He also believes the 2ndamendment to the Constitution is not under threat -- but when the NRA's top leadership comes to its dues-paying members for financial support, hesays, they paint a very different picture. And Feldman says there's a reason for the deception.
