Democratic Party leader leaves to run Symington campaign

Wednesday May 14, 2008
Melody Bodette

Colchester, VT

Just days after announcing she's running for governor, Gaye Symington has a campaign manager.

Jill Krowinski will take a leave of absence from her post as executive director of the Vermont Democratic Party to run Symington's campaign. Krowinski has held that position since January 2007.

Democratic Party Chair Ian Carleton said in a statement that Krowinski will be missed, but he has no doubt that she will run a fantastic campaign and help take back the governor's office.

It's not the first time Symington and Krowinski worked together, Krowinski spent two years in the State house as the Assistant to the Speaker.
