Passumpsic distiller crafts premium vodka from maple sap

Thursday April 24, 2008
Jane Lindholm

Passumpsic, VT

Somewhere up near St. Johnsbury, tucked into a hillside in the forest between Barnet and Passumpsic is a place called Vermont Spirits. For a decade the company has been making small batches of ultra premium vodka out of maple sap. Recently VPR's Jane Lindholm visited their off-the-grid micro-distillery to find out just how this unique drink is made.
