This coming Sunday in Boston 162 women will take their places on the starting line
for the 2008 Olympic Marathon Team Trials.
Assuming they meet the requirements, the top three finishers will go on
to Beijing this summer as members of the US Olympic Team.
Among the hopefuls is Kasie Enman of Huntington. She was a distance star at Middlebury College, and in 2000 was a cross country All-American, placing 13th in the nation. She also teaches 3rd and 4th grade at Robinson Elementary School in Starksboro, coaches cross country and track at Champlain Valley Union High School.
Enman spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about life as an elite runner, and her prospects for making the US Olympic team.
