Interview: Kenji Yoshino, author of "The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights"
Thursday, 03/27/08 4:30pm and 4:30pm
The University of Vermont and the Vermont Law School are teaming up to sponsor a series of events
featuring author Kenji Yoshino.
Yoshino is a professor at Yale Law School and a long-time gay rights advocate.
In his book "Covering - The Hidden Assault On Our Civil Rights", Yoshino calls for a redefinition of civil rights in our law and culture. He argues that by downplaying traits in our identities, we are more susceptible to hidden threats to our civil rights.
Yoshino will appear at UVM's Davis Center on Thursday at 7:00pm, and Vermont Law School Friday at 3:00pm.
