Anthony Pollina officially kicks off gubernatorial campaign

Cate says state needs to find new ways of teaching math, writing

(Richard Cate) "... it more clearly demonstrates that they aren't doing as well in mathematics as we want them to....We have a problem we've got to deal with."

Environmental group says state hasn't enforced water quality laws

(Kim Greenwood) "...we're spending all this money to identify all these non-point sources to fix them when we have these sources identified through the permit process and something as simple as complying with a permit could take out tons of sediment from going into Lake Champlain.''

VT Housing approves instant runoff voting

(Chris Pearson) " ...you run into trouble when more than two candidates enter a race. Vermonters are clear they value choice on the ballot and we owe them a system that can handle that choice without the risk of a spoiler scenario."

Web site lists "lost" ski areas

(Jeremy Davis) "It can be exciting if you've done the research on the area and people have told you about it, to say, ‘Oh, there it is! I can see the trails in the woods.' Or, `Look, there's the rope tow all grown in.

VT Edition Interview: Scott Darling and Peter Youngbaer on Bat White Nose Syndrome

(Susie Von Odding-jen) "...clusters of bats on the rocks, in the sunshine, which is completely abnormal. And within those clusters you see half dead or more dead and then a few alive. But they are very social creatures so you have to wonder what kind of communications are going on right now. How do you communicate if all your cluster-mates are dead?"
