VT Edition Interview: Jeff Francis & John Nelson on school budget voting results

Wednesday March 5, 2008
Jane Lindholm

One of the top orders of business at Town Meeting is voting on the annual school budget. For a few years now, observers have looked on the fate of school budgets as a measure of how voters feel about their both their schools *and their property taxes.

The Vermont Superintendents Association has been gathering the results of school budget votes from towns and the statewide picture is starting to come into view.  Jeff Francis is the executive director of the Superintendents Association.  John Nelson heads the School Boards Association.  They spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about the voting results.
