Auditions give actors a shot at roles in Vermont theaters

This weekend Vermont actors were given a once-a-year opportunity to meet dozens of regional producers and directors all at once.  The event is organized by VATTA- the Vermont Association of Theatres and Theatre Artists.  The actors were required to submit photo resumes and prepare monologues and songs that fit a strict 3-minute time limit.  The audience of 30 or so producers and directors each have in mind their own casting needs and they're looking for just the right performer to fill the role. The first "auditioner" of the day gave us an actor's perspective on a day that holds the potential for getting discovered:
