Burlington group launching Green Mountain Car Share

The first non-profit car sharing program in the country got started in California's Bay area in 2001.

Annie Bourdon was the driving force, if you will, behind CityCarShare, and now she's bringing the idea to Vermont's largest city.

Annie Bourdon lives in Burlington and hopes the non-profit "Green Mountain Car Share" will fill a need and merge with Vermont's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions:

An open-house start-up meeting for Green Mountain Car Share takes place next Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Main Street Landing in Burlington.
