In 2007 Joseph Porcelli decided to wear a nametag every day, for a whole year. And he carried extras with him to hand out to folks: sometimes casually in line at the grocery store, sometimes in a big way, like name-tagging 10,000 people at Fenway Park. He called it The Nametag Project, an effort to break down social barriers and build up community by getting people to introduce themselves. Porcelli worked with Sharon Academy student Phoebe Langdon to teach other students how nametagging works.
