Police resume search for clues in missing teen case

Monday October 29, 2007

Montgomery, VT

Vermont State Police plan to resume the search today in Montgomery for clues into the disappearance of a local teenager three and a half years ago.

A search on Saturday, which proved fruitless, followed Thursday's discovery of a pair of blue jeans in woods about seven miles from where 17-year-old Brianna Maitland was last seen in March of 2004.

Meanwhile, police are waiting for lab results to help determine whether the jeans belonged to Maitland.

Maitland disappeared after finishing her shift at a local restaurant. Police have tracked several leads since then, but found them to be dead ends.
