The center of Jericho, Vermont in Chittenden county lays claim to having the oldest continuously operating store in the state. The Jericho Country store celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, and in all those years, it's had only eight different owners. The current owners are a father, mother, and son team, and they have been managing the shop for the past five years. They've worked to restore some of its history-pulling old signs out of the barn and finding old butcher blocks for the counters. As part of our ongoing series of audio postcards from Vermont towns, producer Sarah Ashworth stopped by the Jericho Country store one morning.
