(Neal Charnoff) A new Vermont mystery novel tells the story of Sweeney St. George, a Boston art historian who becomes interested in an arts colony that flourished in nineteenth century Vermont. She goes in search of the artist who designed a gravestone for a girl who drowned mysteriously in 1890. But when a descendant of the girl is murdered, St. George realizes that her sleuthing has disturbed a killer.
Vermont author Sarah Stewart Taylor brings new life to the detective/mystery genre with her debut novel. Taylor is a graduate of Middlebury College, and currently a freelance journalist in Vermont. She joins us from our studio in Norwich.
"O Artful Death" is published by St. Martin's Minotaur. Taylor will be signing books at the Norwich Bookstore Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m. and at the Dartmouth Bookstore Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
