More about VPR Classical »

At VPR, we're excited about the future of classical music!

We think you will be too when you hear VPR Classical, Vermont Public Radio's 24-hour classical music network. Our hosts provide a thoughtful framework for the music, welcoming you whether you're a casual or passionate classical music fan. Each performance, each artist, each composer, brings a unique perspective and we share that sense of discovery and delight with you.

VPR Classical is Vermont's only classical music network featuring local hosts throughout the day. Cheryl Willoughby, Walter Parker and Joe Goetz share their extensive knowledge and passion for the music Monday through Friday. On the weekends, you can hear Saturday Afternoon at the Opera with Peter Fox Smith and Sunday Bach with Mark Vogelzang.

Jazz

Groove to jazz legends, influential performers and up -and-coming talents every weeknight on VPR.

Vermont's own George Thomas is your host Monday through Thursday beginning at 8pm. Friday night at 8pm, the legendary Marian McPartland and Piano Jazz takes the stage until 9pm and George keeps you swinging right on until midnight.
