April 15, 2009
Vermont Public Radio has completed an upgrade to its VPR Classical translators in South Bennington and Manchester. The power for 93.5 FM in South Bennington has been increased from 10 to 120 watts, and for 106.9 FM in Manchester from 10 to 51 watts.
The upgrade significantly improves VPR Classical coverage in the area, doubling the population served from 25,000 to 50,000.
“We’re thrilled that more listeners will be able to hear VPR Classical in southwestern Vermont,” said Vermont Public Radio President Robin Turnau. “Our commitment to classical music is stronger than ever, and improving our signal has been a priority.”
