Michael Isaacson

10/11/12 11:00AM By Walter Parker

Michael Isaacson
Tonight in Montpelier, Counterpoint will perform music of Michael Isaacson, led by Director Emeritus Robert DeCormier, a former teacher of Isaacson.  Since Isaacson was DeCormier's teaching assistant at the Eastman School of Music he has had a successful career composing for film and television and has become one of America's leading composers of Jewish sacred music.  At 11 today we'll hear a few comments from Isaacson and his composition, Through These Windows, inspired by the Marc Chagall windows of the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.

Listen to Michael Isaacson's conversation with VPR's Neal Charnoff.
