John Shannahan of the Better Bennington Corporation, called the VPR Art Hounds hotline to suggest the Plein Air Vermont painting event in North Bennington.

At SculptureFest in Woodstock--an outdoor and free event running through foliage season--Marie Kirn from Hartland, Vermont, raved about Jay Mead's piece, "When the Moon Came to Earth."

More sculpture suggestions came from Glenn Campbell of Rutland. He recommends visiting the studios, quarries and installations during SculpFest.
