Pianist and conductor Ignat Solzhenitsyn grew up in Vermont.  He returns this Friday to perform a solo piano recital to benefit the Greven baseball fields in Cavendish, which were badly damaged by Tropical Storm Irene.

VPR's Walter Parker recently caught up with Ignat recently while he was performing in Russia.  They spoke about his recital and his Vermont connection.
