Patricia Neway Remembered

We remember dramatic soprano Patricia Neway, who died at her home in East Corinth on January 24.
She created the role of Magda Sorel in Gian Carlo Menotti's The Consul; and she won a Tony Award for her portrayal of the Mother Abbess in the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music, singing Climb Every Mountain.
