Rep. Peter Welch, right, talks with veteran Robert McCallum in Barre. Welch says he has a plan to help put unemployed veterans to work.

Congressman Peter Welch was among those in support of President Barack Obama's recent rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline project. We talk to Welch about that contentious decision and other energy issues, as well as taxes, his recent congressional trip to the Middle East, and a plan he supports to pass a comprehensive stimulus bill to repair roads and bridges around the country.

Also on the program, we talk to Eric Mallette, co-founder of the "I Am Vermont Strong" campaign that has sold more than 7,000 t-shirts to benefit the Vermont Food Bank. Their graphic is also being used for the new "Vermont Strong" license plates that will raise money for the Vermont Long Term Disaster Relief Fund and the Food Bank.

And we listen back to some of the voices in the news this week.
