Suites For The Sweet

08/24/11 8:00AM

This morning features several suites of different origins, including Dvorak's "American" Suite, Gounod's "Romeo & Juliette" Suite, and the opening of the "The Elements" suite by Jean-Fery Rebel. Yesterday's 5.8 earthquake reminded me of the "Chaos" opening of that work, with its musical earthquake and vivid depiction of the Earth's formation.
