VPR Presents Gwen Ifill in a special broadcast Monday evening at 8. Ifill was the keynote speaker of the George D Aiken Lecture at the University of Vermont on September 30th. She is the Peabody award winning moderator for Washington Week, as well as moderator and senior correspondent for the PBS NewsHour. Tune in for a lively discussion about "Politics, Policy, and Reality from Washington to Vermont and Beyond." That's Monday evening at 8 on VPR.
Ifill has covered six Presidential campaigns, and during the 2008 campaign season, won the George Foster Peabody Award after bringing Washington Week to live audiences around the country as part of a 10-city tour. Now in its 40th year, Washington Week is the longest-running prime-time news and public affairs program on television.
Ifill is the author of The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.
