Katherine Paterson's 'The Day Of The Pelican'

Barre author Katherine Paterson's latest book ‘The Day of the Pelican' tells the story of an Albanian family forced by war to flee Kosovo, and start their lives again in Vermont. The novel is the Vermont Humanities Council's 2010 Vermont Reads selection. Katherine Paterson joins us to talk about writing the book and her own experience fleeing her childhood home. Listen
