Patrick Leahy has been a Vermont U.S. Senator for 36 years, but this primary election he faces challenger Dan Freilich, who says Vermont needs new representation in Washington. Both are vying for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. Freilich and Leahy meet in their only debate of the primary season, Wednesday on Vermont Edition.
