Celebrating Stephen Hough

04/05/10 3:00PM

British pianist Stephen Hough is one of the most important and versatile musicians of our generation, and we'll hear from two of his brand-new recordings on Hyperion this afternoon.  First, a blistering performance of Tchaikovsky's often-misunderstood Piano Concerto #2, then later on we'll hear his interpretation of Chopin's late B Minor Sonata.  Also today, great character duos in music taken from mythology and literature.
