In the immediate aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti, humanitarian aid and people, including many Vermonters, flooded into the country to provide help.  We check in with Mari Cordes (Fletcher Allen RN and the coordinator of the Vermont Medical Response Team) Kathleen M. Balutansky (Associate Dean and Professor of Caribbean literature at St. Michael's College), Carolyn Meub (Executive Director of Pure Water for the World, inc) and others about the mid to long term effects of the earthquake and what role Vermonters and outside aid organizations are playing in the ongoing recovery process. Listen   Send your thoughts about Haiti, development, and international aid to vermontedition@vpr.net.

Also in the program, VPR's Bob Kinzel previews the week ahead in the Vermont Legislature as the budget and other key bills advance. Listen
