Over the Hump with Mahler

03/03/10 3:00PM By Joe Goetz

We'll get over the mid-week hump with a passionate performance of Mahler's Fifth Symphony, performed by the wonderkids of the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela and their former music director, Gustavo Dudamel.  He's now moved on to the post of music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

We will also hear a serenade by Dvorak, orchestral music of Bach, and a little-heard concerto for horn by Reinhold Gliere.
