The History Of Personal Privacy

Listen

Thursday, 02/04/10 Noon and 7pm

How private are our conversations or emails?  Do we have as much privacy as we might think?  And how has it changed with new technologies?  We look into our complicated relationship with privacy with Burlington-based author Frederick Lane.  He has a new book, American Privacy:  The 400 Year History of Our Most Contested Right.

Also, we visit a senior center in Randolph where a group ranging in age from 81 to 99 is busy writing their memoirs.

In the January 30th edition of Spark, host Norah Young took an indepth look at email privacy and web surveilance in the workplace.  Listen to the program here
