Opiate addition continues to be a serious problem in Vermont. In recent years, though, heroin use has been largely replaced by abuse of pharmaceutical drugs.

The health department, treatment specialists and law enforcement are all taking steps to adjust to the change. We'll talk with Barbara Cimaglio, Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Bob Bick, the Director of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services at the Howard Center and Lieutenant Paul Favreau, the southern supervisor for the Vermont State Police Drug Task Force. Listen

Also, we'll talk with Judy Scott, Director of the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program about the film "Home Across Lands", which looks at the challenges refugees face when they come to this country. The film is being screened at Champlain College at 4PM Sunday. Listen
