Jazz: Live Performance with Steve Wilson

Steve Wilson on saxophones and flute and pianist Danny Grissett join George Thomas in VPR's Performance Studio for a preview of their upcoming Vermont Mozart Festival conert on July 22 at the Grand Isle Lake House. They'll perform originals and selections from the Great American Songbook.
Steve Wilson's distinctive alto sax has been featured on over 100 albums including those of Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Maria Schneider, Mulgrew Miller and many more. He's studied with Jon Hendricks, Jimmy and Percy Heath, and Ellis Marsalis. Wilson is on the faculty at Manhattan School of Music, SUNY Purchase and Columbia University and is Artist-In-Residence at the University of Mantoba, Winnpeg for 2008/2009.
