Teenagers face complicated situations when it comes to dating and intimate relationships: sexting, peer pressure, alcohol use, harrassment and even violence.
Helping teens build healthy dating relationships and
teaching a message of respect is the cornerstone of the work done by our
guest, Oliver Barkley, the men's educator at the Women's Rape Crisis
Center. Barkley uses humor to make a serious point to teens about
self-respect, personal safety, and building healthy relationships. He
brings his education message to the Flynnspace
in Burlington this weekend with a program entitled, "Take Me Drunk, I'm
Home...What Every Teenager Needs to Know About Safe Dating. Listen"
Also, Gardening 101 continues! Horticulturalist Charlie Nardozzi of the National Gardening Association takes one of his favorite garden topics: growing beautiful, fragrant roses. Listen
