The Will Patton Ensemble joined George Thomas live in VPR's performance studio on Thursday evening, Nov. 6th. Mandolinist Patton mixes gypsy jazz à la Django Reinhart with Benny Goodman swing, bop tunes from Lee Morgan and Bud Powell and fresh originals. Mostly acoustic and always hot, the Ensemble's new CD is "6th St. Runaround."
