Business schools respond to financial crisis
Business school students who once expected to sign on to big
salaried Wall Street jobs may be rethinking their career paths. We look into how business schools are helping
their students plan and navigate through such an uncertain future. We'll hear from Dean Robert Hansen at Dartmouth's
Tuck School of Business, about how they're already turning the financial chaos
into a classic textbook case for students in the classroom. And, we'll also hear from second year student
Matthew Vamvakis about how his plans may change. (Listen)
Also, the Brattleboro-based organization, Strolling of the Heifers, is best known for its parade of dairy cows through downtown each June. But the year-round organization also has a new micro-loan program for New England farmers. We learn more from the founder of Strolling of the Heifers, Orly Munzing. (Listen)
And, this time of year apple orchards throughout the state are full of varieties like Macintosh and Empire. We talk with Peggy Thompson from Orange, Vermont about how to turn those apples into applesauce that can last all through the winter. (Listen)
