Education Bills Raise Controversy

Two education bills are raising controversy at the Statehouse this legislative session. One would abolish the state board of Education and elevate the commissioner's job to cabinet status; a second bill would repeal last year's measure that requires a town to vote twice before raising their school budget by a certain percentage. We'll discuss the prospects of both bills with the chairs of the Education Committees, Rep. Janet Ancel an Sen Don Collins. (Listen)

Also in the program, Louis Porter of the Vermont Press Bureau analyzes the top stories of the week. (Listen)

And we listen back to some of the voices in the news. (Listen)
