Challenging times for local rescue services

Vermont’s Local, non-profit ambulance services are grappling with higher costs, greater demands and shrinking reimbursements. We explore the conundrum -- and look at legislation that might help -- with Jim Finger, president of the Vermont Ambulance Association, and Dan Manz, director of EMS Services for the Vermont Department of Health. (Listen)

Also on the program, Valley News Reporter Jon Gregg sizes up Vermont’s Congressional delegates’ track records on budget bills and the much-maligned federal earmarks that bring millions into Vermont for projects that need funding.  (Listen)

And our series of audio postcards takes us to Morrisville, and a restaurant called “The Bees Knees” where community members gather for music, food and conversation.(Listen)
