Senator Patrick Leahy

Senator Patrick Leahy said Thursday that confirmation hearings for Attorney General-designate Michael Mukasey could begin in two weeks. Sen. Leahy joins Bob Kinzel Friday to talk about the confirmation of Mukasey, the legality of the Bush administration's wiretapping program, and what strategy the Democrats will back to end the war in Iraq.

Also in the program, VPR's John Dillon analyzes the big stories of the week's news, and we continue our series of audio postcards from Vermont towns with a stop in Montpelier to get the locals' view of the state capital.
