Vermont Public Radio wants to make sure you and this site stays safe. Here's our promise to you:
- If you send Camel Hump's Radio a comment, artwork, a story, or anything else that could be used on air, in print, or on the website, you'll be identified only by first name, age, city and state. If you send it to us, it becomes the property of Vermont Public Radio and it could be used.
- In almost every circumstance, the information we collect is minimal; we'll ask for your first name, age, city/town and state. We will ask for your email address if you enter a contest, send us a question or a comment. That's so we can write you back if we need to. However, we will not keep the address or use it again.
- If you want VPR to send an email message (like our weekly poll) to a friend, we will ask for your first name and email address and the email address of the person you're contacting. The information will be used only to send the message and we will the delete the information once the message has been sent.
- We won't exclude anyone from our site for not giving us personal information.
- When we ask for personal information, like your first name or your email address, we will only keep it until that particular activity is finished. We will not share this information with a third party. We appreciate and respect your trust.
- If we know a visitor is under the age of thirteen, we will collect a parent's permission offline (by postal mail, fax, or phone) before we mail any prizes or publicly announce winners. Visitors under age 13 that sign up for the e-newsletter are also required to give us a parent's email address so we can notify the parent of the child's registration. We will use the email addresses only for these limited purposes, and we will not disclose the information to anyone else.
We have some additional policies to make sure you can safely use the Internet...
- When a VPR site is partially funded by outside sponsors, we will identify the underwriter logos with a "sponsored by" tag.
- VPR is not responsible for the content or safety and privacy practices at any sites linked from our pages.
- By using this site, you agree to accept these terms. You should check this policy frequently, since it is subject to change. By continuing to use this site, you agree to accept any changes made to this privacy policy.
- If you have any comments or questions concerning this policy, we're happy to hear them. Send us an e-mail at webmaster@vpr.net. You may also contact us at 365 Troy Avenue, Colchester, VT 05446 (800-639-2192).
