Meet Chris Albertine, Camel’s Hump Radio Technical Director. Behind him is VPR’s performance studio.
Shortly before our actor is scheduled to arrive, Chris will set up the VPR performance studio. The performance studio is a large open space designed for recording. It has glass walls on two sides, so the performer and the crew in the production studio can see each other. Because VPR does so many different productions, Chris has to “book” space, or reserve the studio in advance. He usually reserves the studio for 3 hours – that’s how long it can take to record a 25 minute excerpt for Camel’s Hump Radio!
