Scott Atherton
Announcer, VPR
Scott began announcing part-time on VPR in 2006. When not at VPR, Scott serves as an assistant director of admissions at Middlebury College.
Prior to joining Middlebury, Scott worked for 14 years at the Salzburg Seminar in Middlebury and Salzburg, Austria in various program and development positions.
Born and raised in Maine, Scott attended Harvard College where he earned a BA in anthropology in 1979. He lived in Israel for nearly three years after college as a Michael C. Rockefeller Memorial Fellow. Scott's interests include traveling, listening to music, drinking wine, cooking and eating, bicycling, Nordic skiing, and reading.
