Brian Marshall

Brian joined VPR in 2003 having previously worked for VPR as a contractor for a number of years. He has also worked for Vermont Public Television.
Brian's primary responsibility is VPR's transmitters. What does that mean? He's responsible for installation and maintenance of transmission equipment, maintaining the area around the towers, and coordinating with contractors for specialized work. A typical day for him involves driving to a mountaintop transmitter site, perhaps Mt. Mansfield or Mt. Ascutney, using a four-wheel-drive vehicle or snowmobile to get to the site. Once there, he repairs equipment or perhaps installs something new.
Brian lives in Hyde Park where he serves on the school board. He spends his free time with his wife and grandchildren.
