Vermont’s Congressional delegation is pleased and relieved that
the Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama’s health care law, including
the mandate that all Americans have health insurance or pay a fine.
Vermont’s Congressional delegation expressed relief at Thursday’s Supreme Court
ruling, hoping to now focus on
the implementation of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act without the cloud of legal uncertainty.
At the Library of Congress in Washington Monday morning, lawmakers and higher education officials
celebrated the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s
signing of the Morrill Act that established a
system of land-grant universities.
