Lynch Urges $60 Million Cut In NH Spending

Governor John Lynch wants New Hampshire lawmakers to cut another $60 million in spending, raise the cigarette tax by 20 cents a pack and restructure state debt to close a projected $220 million budget shortfall.

Lynch to sign plant closings bill

New Hampshire Governor John Lynch plans to sign a bill Monday requiring larger companies to give 60 days notice to their workers and to New Hampshire of mass layoffs or plant closings.
