Non-native, invasive plants are one of the biggest threats to the health
of our forests. We’ll talk about these plants, from wild parsnip to
Japanese knotweed to garlic mustard, and what’s being done to combat
them.
Despite
an urgent plea by scientists who want the Champlain Canal shut off to
stop the spread of an invasive species, New York State says closing the
canal is not feasible.

Champlain Canal, just two locks away from the southern end of the
