Wind Power Becomes Issue In Lt. Governor Race

Bob Kinzel The future of wind power in the state has become a key
issue in the race for Lt. Governor. Incumbent Republican Phil
Scott supports a two year moratorium on all major wind developments, while Cassandra Gekas, who is
running as both the Democratic and Progressive candidate, thinks it's a mistake
to impose a moratorium at this time.

Derby Wind Committee Says No To Proposal

ad hoc Wind Committee submitted their unanimous recommendation that the Select Board
oppose the proposed Derby Wind Line project.

An environmental group is appealing a
decision by the U.S. Forest Service that would allow the construction of 15
